Questions
How do I resize an image to an exact KB size?
Set the minimum and maximum KB. The tool searches JPEG quality levels for the highest one that still fits under your ceiling, then — if the result lands under your floor — appends blank JPEG comment data to lift it over. Comment segments are skipped by every decoder, so the picture is untouched.
Can I set the DPI?
Yes. The value you enter is written into the JFIF density field for JPEG, or a pHYs chunk for PNG. Browsers otherwise write 96 DPI, which some portals reject.
Can I make the file bigger instead of smaller?
Yes. That is what the minimum size does — it is a common requirement and a common reason for rejection.
