How we check sizes
Every resizer publishes a size chart. Almost none of them say where the numbers came from.
The charts contradict each other
Compare any two of the popular exam resizers and you find rows that cannot both be true:

Both sides carry the same disclaimer — requirements may change, always check the official notification — with no source and no date attached to any row. That disclaimer moves the entire risk onto the candidate while still presenting the number as an answer.
What our badges mean
Unverified means exactly what it says: the number is transcribed from secondary sources and nobody has opened the notification to confirm it. Most of this site is currently unverified, and it says so on every page rather than in a footer.
Verified means a person opened the notification PDF published by that authority, found the upload specification, and recorded the date and URL. That date is shown to you. A badge applied loosely is worth less than no badge, so the bar is deliberately narrow.
Where published sources disagree, we mark the conflict and show both numbers. An honest we don't know which is more useful than a confident wrong answer, because it tells you to go and look.
Checking a size yourself
- Open the recruitment notification PDF for the specific cycle you are applying to — not last year's, and not a coaching site's summary.
- Search it for photograph, scanned, KB or pixel. The upload specification is usually an appendix near the end.
- Check whether dimensions are an exact size or a permitted range. Banking exams tend to be exact; UPSC and NTA give ranges.
- Check whether there is a minimum file size as well as a maximum. This is the one people miss.
- Check whether the photo must carry your name and the date, which UPSC, NTA and several state boards require.
If you find a size here is wrong, that is worth telling us — a corrected number with the PDF page it came from is the most valuable thing anyone can send this site.
