Browsers stamp 96 DPI into canvas JPEGs and some portals reject on it. This writes 200 DPI into the JFIF header, and a pHYs chunk for PNG.

When a compressed file lands under the floor, blank JPEG comment data lifts it over and the pixels stay untouched. Some tools inject random noise into your photo until the byte count rises.

Questions

Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Every resize runs in your browser with the canvas API. There is no upload endpoint, no account, and the tool keeps working with the network switched off. The site's Content-Security-Policy names the only destinations the page may contact, and no endpoint of ours is among them — so your image data has nowhere to go. If you allow analytics, Google receives which pages you opened, never your files.
Why does my file need to be above a minimum size?
Most portals enforce a band — 20 KB to 50 KB, say — and reject anything on either side of it. A clean scan of a thin signature routinely lands under the floor. This tool lifts it over by appending blank JPEG comment segments that decoders skip, so the image itself is never touched.
Why does DPI matter?
Browsers stamp 96 DPI into canvas JPEGs. Several portals read that field and reject the file even when the pixel dimensions are right. This tool writes the DPI you ask for into the JFIF header for JPEG, and a pHYs chunk for PNG — 200 by default.
How do I know these sizes are correct?
You should not take them on trust. Every preset states whether a person has checked it against the notification and links to the authority that publishes it. Where published charts disagree with each other — and they do, on UPSSSC PET, RRB NTPC, GATE and others — we show the disagreement rather than quietly picking one.

Does it work on a phone?
Yes, and that is what it is built for. Drag to reposition, pinch to zoom. iPhone HEIC photos need converting first — the page tells you exactly how if it meets one.
Can it make a PDF too?
Yes. Photos to PDF combines images into one PDF and hits a size limit — portals commonly require a certificate as "PDF, A4, under 500 KB". Compress a PDF shrinks a scan you already have, and tells you up front whether compression will actually help.
Can I check whether I am eligible?
The age calculator works out your exact age on an exam cut-off date and applies SC/ST, OBC, PwBD or ex-servicemen relaxation. It shows the arithmetic rather than a bare yes or no, because a wrong "not eligible" could stop you applying at all. Age limits are unverified for now, like the photo sizes.
Where is the application check?
Open an exam and choose Application check, or start from the size chart. For the 35 exams checked against a notice, the list cites that check and links into the resizer. For the rest, the page says the specs are not yet verified and does not treat a matching file as accepted.
