Published sizes disagreed. We checked the notification.Resolved against RRB’s own FAQ for CEN 06/2025, published alongside the notification. There is no photograph upload at all — the portal captures a live photograph through your webcam or phone camera, and it states that uploading a pre-existing photo is not permitted. The signature is 30 to 49 KB, minimum 140 × 60 px, signed inside a 35 × 20 mm box. Note the ceiling is 49 KB, not 50: charts listing 30–70 KB put you over it. The CEN itself is a scanned image with no text layer, so the citation is to the FAQ, which quotes the CEN paragraph.

How it works

Exam-ready photo and signature in three steps. No editing skills, no software, no upload.

1

Pick your exam

Choose from 129 presets. 35 have been checked against the official notification; every other page says it has not. Pixels, KB band and DPI load with the preset. Not listed? Type your own numbers.

2

Upload and adjust

Drag to position your face, pinch or scroll to zoom. Signatures get one-slider background clean-up. Add your name and the date if the board wants them printed on the photo.

3

Check and download

You get exact dimensions, a file inside the KB band, correct DPI — and a pre-flight report on blur, background and face position before you upload anything.

Questions

What photo size is required for RRB NTPC?
None. Railway Recruitment Board does not ask you to upload a photograph — the application module takes it with your camera while you fill the form. The only image you upload is your signature: a JPEG of 30–49 KB, signed inside a box of about 3.5 × 2.0 cm, with a stated minimum of 140 × 60 px.
My file is smaller than 30 KB. Will it be rejected?
Yes. 30 KB is a floor, not a suggestion, and portals reject files under it exactly as they reject oversized ones. This tool lifts an undersized file over the floor by appending blank JPEG comment data, which decoders ignore. The picture itself is untouched — some tools inject random noise into the image instead, which visibly degrades it.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The resizing runs inside your browser using the standard canvas API. Nothing is sent to a server, there is no account, and the page keeps working offline once loaded.
Can I set the DPI?
Yes, and it defaults to 200 DPI here. Browsers write 96 DPI into canvas JPEGs, and some portals read that field and reject the file even when the pixel dimensions are correct. The value is written into the JFIF header of the file you download.
Why do other sites list a different size for RRB NTPC?
Resolved against RRB’s own FAQ for CEN 06/2025, published alongside the notification. We would rather show you the disagreement than pick one and sound certain.
